Agile NIRVANA (successful implementation and operation of agile)
Why agile management?
One of the common (subconscious) answer is “Because Agile is now cool. Let’s follow by the Scrum or Kanban and we will succeed.” Of course it’s bullshit. For the successful implementation and operation of agile it require several key aspects introduced in this blog.
successful implementation of agile
for the successful implementation of Agile change management is crucial. Some critical aspects of successful change management are:
Understanding of the solution
To achieve any change it’s important to understand this change (problem and the causes, advantages / disadvantages of possible solutions, proposed solution). An important aspect of understanding is to know answers of WHY questions. If ones don’t identify with the answers of WHY then it has sense to find another solution that better suits specified needs. Insufficient understanding leads to poor implementation.
This also includes knowledge of alternatives to agile. One of the most known alternatives to agile is sequential project management. For understanding sequential vs agile approach their advantages, disadvantages, it is also important to understand their historical context(so we don’t repeat the mistakes of the past) I recommend to read sequentiall vs agile project management.
One of the most important human needs (more on human needs ) in the context of the implementation of changes is autonomy.
If an employee is not involved in finding a solution then has a natural tendency to reject the proposed solution, especially for non-trivial compromise solutions that are best ratio of benefits and shortcomings. Employee has in that case tendency to focus on deficiencies (most commonly occurs in the activation of Bayes anchoring, first impression, generalization) and the output is a rejection of the entire solution (more about bayesis in the blog psychology of decision making).

successful operation of agile
For the successful operation of agile approach are necessary four basic pillars:
1.agile leadership & project management appropriate to use knowladges of NeuroLeadership, coaching / mentoring, motivation system (needs and motivation, gamification), conflict resolution, team dynamics, change management
2. agile company culture: knowledge and innovation processes, corporate values (formal and informal rules). eg. If the leader command the accuracy and leader regularly delayed then team gradually distrust his claims and team members will switch focus to achieving personal goals.
3. quality agile(crossfunctional) team: identification of the desired profile of employees for requested roles (preferred are crossfunctional workers, good sales team,..) and their selection.
4. agile processes: Agile principles supported by agile processes. Choosing a suitable agile methodology/methodologies and their right combination.
Failing at any of these pillars don’t exploit full potential of agile
